Fund-A-Need Campaign

Your pledge to our Fund-A-Need goes towards supporting projects at Holy Spirit School that directly impact student learning. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic teachers have had to shift their teaching styles to allow for more unique environments. One request from the students was to have more learning time outside. Currently the blacktop area has limited shaded seating for the teachers and students to utilize. Our goal is to provide new tables in the natural shaded area of the playground/grass area. This will allow 7th and 8th grade students to have their own lunch space and all grades to utilize outdoor seating for hands on group learning. Additional seating for the updated garden area will also be purchased if funds allow.

Any additional funds will support the planning process for a permanent shade structure that can be utilized for lunch or learning time. This process will include parish input, building permits and architectural planning. This will be an initial planning process to kick off a capital campaign to fund the building process.

Letter from our Principal:

Our school is fully accredited through WCEA and WASC; our most recent study taking place in 2015, where we received a six-year accreditation. The reason for this success is the challenging curriculum that is offered to our students in our K-8. While striving to develop Christian boys and girls, we work toward developing the whole child who will become loving, caring members of society. While striving for academic excellence, our students have regular classes in Art, Music, Spanish, and Physical Education. Religious Education and religious practice are important parts of our school day. In addition to a challenging curriculum that is aligned with Diocesan and state standards, we also offer Extra Curricular Band, Choir, Drama, and Sports programs for our students. We pride ourselves in having a very stable staff at Holy Spirit School. Several generations of families have attended our school, and they witness to the constant improvement of our programs with each passing year. Our computer lab is fully equipped with the latest technological advances, so that our students are proficient in the most up-to-date programs.

Our school offers Before-and-After School Care, with trained supervisors to assist students with homework and interesting activities to help students relax after their school day. We have a 5-day hot lunch program for all students who wish to participate. Come and join us for our Open House during Catholic Schools Week or at a time which is convenient for you. It will be our pleasure to show you around and familiarize you with our great school.
